School Project

  • Challenging puzzles requiring advanced pre-planning and iterations of the player's strategy from one try to the next.

 

  • Strong feeling of accomplishment from a rewarding visual validation of their strategy, and the sense of progression from one iteration to the next.

Intentions

Concept

In Hero of the Rising Sun, the player controls a Japanese elite soldier who is tasked to storm a US military base during WW2. To do so he has to at first plan meticulously his actions on a map. And secondly execute it in either a cinématique success or a failure requiring further planning.  

 

What I did

  • Conceived  the original idea and lead the game's vision

  • Managed and supervised a team of  5 designers while communicating with artist and programmers

  • Organised team meatings, brainstorm sessions

  • Game design Documentation

  • Designed the level which was showcased at the jury presentation

What I learned

  • Leading a large team on a game's vision

  • managing game designers and level designers

  • Iterative planification to quickly achieve results in order to reajust designs and scope
